As the first retirement community in Sioux Falls, Dow Rummel Village has seen its share of change since the community was

established in 1963. What hasn’t changed? Our mission to provide friendly, secure retirement living that meets the ever-changing needs of a diverse population in a community sustained by Christian spirit and service.

Dow Rummel Village offers all levels of care to meet your specific needs. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, we have the resources of a large community with the personal attention and friendliness of a small town.

Dow Rummel has 113 independent apartments, 9 garden-style cottages, 32 independent living/assisted living apartments, 35 assisted living apartments, 14 memory care beds, and 50 nursing home beds. Over the 47 years of our existence we have grown from 41 units to 253 units.

We have many amenities and services to complete a ‘resort-style’ way of life, here at Dow Rummel. Our wellness program is like none other – we boast a 60-foot lap pool and warm therapy pool, fitness and aerobic classroom, and a cardiovascular strength training room. What else, you ask? A wide variety of activities and special events to choose from. Caring, knowledgeable staff. Programs centered around your health and wellness…and much more.
