These values are the backbone of our success. We are currently seeing a Contract Wellness Instructor with experience in active aging populations to join our team.

As a Contract Wellness Instructor your primary responsibility will be to lead and instruct multiple aquatics and land-based classes each week. You will play a crucial role in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall health among our residents. Your duties will include: 

  • Designing and implementing engaging and safe wellness programs suitable for active aging populations.
  • Conducting aquatic and land-based classes, ensuring proper techniques and form are maintained by participants.
  • Providing guidance and support to residents, helping them achieve their wellness goals.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
  • Collaborating with other members of the wellness team to develop and improve program offerings.
  • Maintaining accurate records of class attendance and participant progress.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certification: Must possess a certification in a related field (e.g., fitness instructor, personal trainer, aquatic exercise instructor, etc.).
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working with active aging populations, preferably in a senior living or community setting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and connect with residents. Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, patient attitude are essential.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of a team to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Energy and Creativity: Ability to be energetic, enthusiastic, and creative in working with residents, promoting an engaging and enjoyable experience.
  • Task Orientation: Ability to understand and follow task orientation and instructions, rules, and procedures as outlined in orientation and training.
  • Public Speaking: Excellent communication and persuasive skills, including public speaking with both large and small group audiences.
  • People Skills: Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with residents, providing exceptional customer service and support.

This position is a contract role and offers flexible hours based on class schedules and availability.
